Local Bus Service:
The Town of Snowmass Village provides its own free shuttle service to pretty much any location in the Village. Buses depart from the shuttle terminal located just below the Village Mall on Daly Lane.

There are eight routes within the Village's bus system. See the Village Route Schedule for times and areas served within the Village. (See related map.) Combined routes provide service between the Snowmass Center and the Village Mall every 10 minutes from 7:10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
The Snowmass Center has two stops. Buses in front of the Village Market travel toward the Mall. Buses in the lower parking lot travel away from the Mall to places such as the Woodbridge and Crestwood condominiums, and other points downhill.

Bus service is available to the Snowmass Chapel from the Village Mall, 4-6 p.m., December through March. People are asked to wait at bus stops where they are posted. Buses also will stop on demand where conditions permit.

The Roaring Fork Transit Agency (RFTA) provide transportation services on a year-round basis. Free buses operate within the city of Aspen, and fare buses transport passengers to other points in the Roaring Fork Valley (Aspen to Glenwood Springs). Free shuttle service also connects all four mountain ski areas. For free skier shuttle schedules, call RFTA directly at 970-925-8484.

Travel By Rail AMTRAK
Experienced travelers say the California Zephyr route is the most beautiful train trip in all of North America...and as you climb to the sky through the heart of the Rocky Mountains -- and further west, the high Sierra -- you'll find it hard to disagree. Certainly, it's the most comfortable way to travel between Chicago and the great cities of the west: Denver, Salt Lake City, Sacramento, and San Francisco. Call 800-USA-RAIL, or visit www.amtrak.com.

Skiing in winter -- hiking and sightseeing in summer, the Zephyr is the train for all this and more. But as you twist past the narrow canyons and towering peaks of the Rockies, follow the Colorado River through a breathtakingly beautiful mountain wilderness you won't be thinking about where you're going. You'll be thinking of how glad you are you took the California Zephyr to get there.
The Zephyr makes daily stops in Glenwood Springs, just 40 miles from Snowmass Village.
